Where Is The Love?

Two commands: Love God with all that we are and love others as ourself. Its frustrating to see Christians talk so much about "loving others" and make big plans to do such big things to demonstrate that love, yet the smallest thing like getting to know someone, making a visitor feel welcome inside the church, a sincere "Hello, how are you?/Whats going on?", etc., are often neglected and are the toughest things to do...i myself constantly fail at this. The unbelieving world doesn't look at Christians and hear them say "We love everyone, trust me we do," and turn around and believe that 100%. I have family members who have heard all that talk before, but don't buy it...Love is actions-hence the name of this blog spot-Truth and LOVE in action. We can give everything we have away to the poor or feed the homeless in Santa Monica, or whatever, but we can't even show the same kind of love within the walls of the church or invest in one another or show a sincere love/care for those we are around all the time. Love doesn't have to be a big production; it is the smallest thing like going up to someone and saying hello or not slandering against someone or making fun of them or whatever else. As i said, i know i have a long ways to go in this and i don't want to just bring this topic up and think that i am in the clear when it comes to this. Let us love truly and sincerely and not think that if we love in a "big way", that we are really being "loving". But remember, we love others because we are falling more and more in love with God. LOVE IN ACTION.
