Doctrine Invokes Love

"It's impossible to avoid theology and doctrine. Everyone is a theologian. Everyone has doctrine. The only questions are: 'Are you a good theologian or a bad theologian?' and 'Is your doctrine right or wrong?'"

-Ligon Duncan

I love this man.

Tis true.

Now, is it: I love this MAN.

or is it: I love this, man!

Is it the MAN you love or what he is saying? Both? Aha!

I actually meant: "I love this [guy] (Lig)"

But yes, I very much love what he is saying.

"I love this, [wow!]" secondary meaning.

This is hermeneutics right here. Thanks Josh!

What is his point Ligon is making about story narrative v. doctrine. I haved listened to it twice and i can't nail down what he is arguing totally. I want to know what he is meaning.
