Wisdom from John Bunyan

"What a fool," quoth he, "am I, thus to lie in a stinking dungeon, when I may as well walk at liberty! I have a key in my bosom called Promise; that will, I am persuaded, open any lock in Doubting Castle." -Christian, Pilgrim's Progress

Sooo good. I love that book.
It provides such a cool combination of literary expertise with practical, biblical truth.

thanks Kami, for posting it!

Yeah... I'm ashamed to say that I have not yet read Pilgrim's Progress. I was just telling someone my top 5 favorite books and someone mentioned Pilgrim's Progress... I realized that this needs to happen ASAP.

Thanks Kammie. Thanks Bunyan.

Ahhh. Me too, Joey. I enjoy reading older books, but the syntax and style makes it sooo hard me for to get what's being said. I struggled in high school with Beowulf...and in college with King Lear.

I guess I'll just have to go slower when reading them. I do have Pilgrim's Progress in audio book format. Not sure if that'll be any easier.
